Tiffany’s HIPPY Story: ‘It has made me more confident as a mom and a woman.’

Tiffany, a single mother of a six-year-old boy, was born and raised in Toronto, ON. She was introduced to HIPPY in the summer of 2015 and immediately joined the program. In advance of meeting her Home Visitor, Tiffany was anxious because she wasn’t sure what to expect. Because her Home Visitor was so friendly, she was immediately convinced that she had made the right choice.

Tiffany has seen positive changes in her son’s academic abilities and attitude to school since starting HIPPY. She feels that he has flourished: he is more focused and he now has the drive to complete his work.

As for herself, Tiffany has gained more confidence:

It has made me more confident as a mom and a woman. It showed me that I can teach my son, when before I didn’t think I would be able to get through. This program showed me that I can.

As for the future, Tiffany would like to become a Home Visitor because she loves people and children. Her goal is to help other mothers be successful, especially when it comes to encouraging their children to discover and learn new things.

Tiffany recommends HIPPY for other mothers since the program helps both mother and child – and it’s fun!
