Help Stay ‘N’ Play Stay this Giving Tuesday

This Giving Tuesday, help us raise $10,000 for Stay ‘N’ Play – a resource that supports vulnerable, at-risk families across Canada facing increased isolation due to the COVID-19 global pandemic.

The new lifestyle that COVID-19 has imposed on many families across the globe – one of isolation and limited social interaction – allows us to reflect on the tens of thousands of vulnerable mothers and families who live in isolation all year round. Their reasons might be different – language and cultural barriers rather than health precautions – but there is a shared feeling of anxiety and instability. Isolation takes a toll on a family, and it is a program such as HIPPY that breaks social isolation by helping mothers integrate into the Canadian society and become engaged citizens.

In addition to delivering HIPPY virtually to ensure that families continue to receive support from their dedicated Home Visitors, MMC is proud to have developed a new, valuable resource for families everywhere.

Stay ‘N’ Play is a weekly activity guide for parents who are looking to fill their children’s time at home with fun and productive activities. To date, MMC has released 120 activities that help boost children’s energy, support their educational development, and enhance their creativity. To access the Stay ‘N’ Play resources, please click here.

MMC hopes to continue to release packages to parents and explore other activity guides for families based on the Stay ‘N’ Play format. In order to do that, we need your help!

Every Dollar Counts
