Nusrat is a phenomenal mother! In the face of tremendous hardship, she has risen to be a strong, kind, creative, and dedicated HIPPY mother.

Despite being a single mother of 3 boys under the age of 7, living in a small apartment in a women’s shelter, attending full-time college classes, and weathering a pandemic amidst it all, she exudes determination, focus, hope, and love. She is not at all defined by her situation; she is a survivor, not a victim.

At the college she attends, she seeks volunteer opportunities and is currently a Mental Health Mentor. She has been part of various committees and campaigns, such as the Ambassador of the Success Hub, and she recently received the Academic Excellence Award. Her artwork was featured on the college’s website.

All of these accomplishments are tremendous, but the most significant achievement is her dedication to her boys. She has created a safe, warm, loving environment for them, and they are flourishing. She follows a consistent routine, which includes HIPPY, never missing a day to do the activities with them.
